The Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology (EEOB) is dedicated to educational excellence. Most of our faculty and many of our students are engaged in scientific service and
outreach. These activities are exceptionally diverse, and
include:
- giving talks and displays at K-12 schools and
colleges and universities nationwide
- connecting with the
public through news shows and various print and webbased
media
- involving high school students and teachers
in genuine research experiences during the summer
- providing expertise and consulting services to
governmental agencies and businesses
- striving in
many ways to reach out to those with less opportunity to
provide for them the chance to succeed in college and in science.
This spectrum of outreach activities positively
impacts many lives. In addition, we have provided links to the left which can help educators who are also striving to make an impact through the sciences.
