An example of the movements of a red fox, based on one night of telemetry locations (black line with triangles), in grassland-wetland-agricultural habitats of North Dakota. Notice the clusters of successful and unsuccessful duck nests (red dots) in planted cover (green).

An example of the movements of a striped skunk, based on one night of telemetry locations (black line with triangles), in grassland-wetland-agricultural habitats of North Dakota. Notice that the path appears to follow wetland edges (50m buffered in red on image). Skunks strongly select wetland edges in both grassland complexes and especially in agricultural uplands.
