Biology 455- Bryophytes and Lichen Biodiversity
Biology 455 is entitled Bryophyte and Lichen Biodiversity. The course is dual-listed as EEOB 555 to encourage graduate students to take the course. This course leads students through an introduction to these remarkable organisms and the collections available in the ISU Ada Hayden Herbarium. Most of the course then focuses on working as a group to develop an inventory of the bryophytes and lichens present at a selected local sight. Final group reports for Spring 2007, 2008, and 2009 are available here. My syllabus from a recent offering of Biology 455 is here.
