Klahs wins ASPT T-shirt design

EEOB graduate student, Phillip Klahs, has designed the winning T-shirt for American Society of Plant Taxonomists. The T-shirt will be available for purchases at the Botany 2017 conference in Fort Worth, Texas. All sales support the efforts of ASPT.

Klahs, a second year PhD student in Dr. Lynn Clark's Lab, focuses his research on understanding and modeling plant architecture. He is specificially looking at the anatomy, morphology, and biomechanics of grass spikelets. To create the T-shirt design, Klahs referenced several specimens of Silphium albiflorum from the Ada Hayden herbarium and photos online.
