I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Environmental Science with a minor in Statistics at Iowa State University. My expected graduation date is May 2018. I also completed a 13–graduate–credit geographical informational system certificate offered by the Department of Community and Regional Planning at ISU. My dissertation topic is “Ecological integrity, biodiversity, and ecosystem functioning in disturbed aquatic environments.” I have 17 years of experience working with macroinvertebrate communities, bioindication, and biological integrity. I have taught multiple courses at ISU and managed 17 field and laboratory technicians involved in the Lake Biological Integrity Project.
