Nicholas Lyon

In the bulk of my personal and professional life thus far I have spent a lot of time appreciating and studying the natural world. I find ecology research–particularly studies with management applications–to be a natural outgrowth of my lifelong passion for the natural world. As an undergraduate that manifested as research into marine plastic pollution, though while a graduate student my focus has shifted to more traditional adaptive management research in midwestern tallgrass prairies. Through both of these projects I have been able to continue to do professional research while indulging my love of communicating scientific results to an audience of diverse educational backgrounds.
